Animal ID: 17-05-20-00047Jack (male)

Basset Hound Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This absolutely shatters my heart and breaks me to my core. I am in serious need of a loving, caring, wonderful home for both Jack and Winchester, together. Anyone who knows me know that both Jack and Winchester are my babies, and I have raised them since they were babies. Jack was adopted at 3 months old from Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, and Winchester was just a 10 week old kitten found in a car tire in Hollywood, Florida. Both of them have a home in my heart and would. They are soul brothers and best friends and absolutely need a home TOGETHER. No separation. Jack is a plump Beagle-Basset Hound mix. He has a sensitive stomach so he must ... (Read More)stay on the same diet and only real healthy treats, none of that GMO fake jerky strips or he will be very sick. Jack enjoys long, tiring walks, running off leash in an empty field while chasing balls, checking out the beach, and long car rides (he doesn't mind if he doesn't get shotgun)! Winchester (check out the other pet profile for him) is extremely affectionate, gives kisses on command, is a cat food enthusiast, loves playing with Jack, but most of all, loves snuggling with his human. Both of them are couch potatoes at home and snuggles and play together all day. Not to mention, they're extremely photogenic. I am unbelievably heartbroken that our bond couldn't be forever, but I am praying on a shooting star that I can find a forever home for them together, that will love them with the intensity that I have for the past four years. Jack needs a backyard to run around in and someone who has enough time to take him on walks and drives.Definitely a pet friendly home that enjoys snuggles from both Jack and Winchester, on and off the couch, because they usually refuse to stay off of it. I just want to make sure they are happy, safe, healthy, and loved in a forever home from here on out, with someone who can send me happy pictures of them from time to time. They are friendly, although Jack is extremely scared of other dogs. He will not fight, but will cower and usually submit. Jack and Winchester are both kid friendly, they loooooooove kids and the attention they get. Unfortunately for me, I have a step child who absolutely adores both Jack and Winchester, but is highly allergic to Winchester. It is very important to me that they find a loving home together. Jason is a sweet boy, about 2 years old and 35 lbs. Jason was confiscated from a hoarding case. We know his brother was part border collie or Aussie, so even though Jason looks like a hound he likely has herding dog in him as well! He is such a good dog and would make an excellent family pet. He is kid- and cat-tested, and does great with other dogs. He is on the submissive side. Jason is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, heartworm negative and microchipped. Basset Hound Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Otis is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for fosters! Otis is currently fostered in Brandon. Otis is a sweet and petite beagle boy. He is a year old and currently about 19 lbs, with a few to gain to get him up to a healthy weight. He is still a bit of a puppy at heart and loves to chew. He loves toys. He has moderate energy, but will play for hours on end with other dogs. He is very respectful of older dogs who don't want to play. He has no guarding issues upon assessment with food, water and toys - he shares all nicely. He is still very scared by yelling and rambunctiousness, so we recommend ... (Read More)only a home with older, respectful children at this point. Otis needs some work on his manners, as he tries to counter surf (he is too short to actually surf!) and is relentless in wanting to join you on the bed to cuddle. He is housebroken and very good at holding it. Overall, he is an easy and great dog and will make an excellent pet. Otis is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, heartworm negative and microchipped. (Less)

Basset Hound Mix    Age: Puppy

Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Chance is a great, smart, and beautiful dog. But he has an issue that makes him occasionally, sometimes unpredictably get aggressive to strangers, particularly small kids. I think he would be a great pet for someone with no kids, and with a lot of land for him to run or swim. He may be a great herding, hunting or work dog for someone like this! He is super smart, learns tricks very fast. We have done 2 rounds of private training with Chance at PetSmart; he picked up most of the drills/tricks in a few hours! He does very well with a leash/gentle leader. He's about 70 pounds and very fast, healthy as a horse. He is very smart and super ... (Read More)sweet, thinks he is a lap dog and loves to cuddle.
