Rescue Me ID: 15-02-20-00245Fred (male)
Fred is the bigger dog in this picture. Couldn't get one of each by themselves. His mom is a Bassett hound, beagle mix and believe dad is German shepherd. Fred is in need of shots and is about 14 months old. The 2 smaller dogs are probably same mix and about 7 months old. They are all very good dogs and loveable. Need to find a home for them asap, unable to care for them any longer.

Tux was brought to us when his family could no longer care for him. He is a very happy guy with lots of love to give. He is such a unique looking dog- you HAVE to meet him in person. To learn more about Tux, please call 812-268-4201 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-15-00445Rebound (male)
Meet Rebound. He is a 5-year-old basset/cattle dog mix, which may be one of the cutest and most unexpected breed mixes we have seen. He is a friendly, bouncy guy who loves people. As a puppy, Rebound was very sick. His family worked hard to get him healthy, and healthy he has been ever since. These days he could even stand to lose a little weight. Unfortunately, his owner is very sick and can no longer care for him. Rebound likes all people, but has never been around small children. We don't suspect he would have an issue with anyone because he is just that sweet. He is good with other dogs, but he can be a little grumpy on rare occasions and, therefore, has to be kept separate when not supervised (he has never been aggressive, just bossy). Rebound has never been around cats. Rebound is neutered, and will be up-to-date on shots and microchipped this week. He is also housebroken. If you would would like to offer Rebound a forever home, please send us an email and we will send you an adoption application. (Less)

We have had this dog for 10 years, since his masters have passed, i have tried to take care of him, however he just will not get along with my other dog, they fight. I must keep them seperated 24/7. I do not want him to live like this any longer. I must do something, find him a good loving home, He is very loving and sweet but not with other dogs, he must be the only dog

PIease Read Before Adopting a Basset Hound in Indiana
Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
