|Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00480Deep Eddy (male)|
Deep Eddy is, at best guess, a Bassett Hound mixed with a Jack Russell. He's short and squat and a powerhouse of a boy. He loves nothing more than something to occupy his brain and he has stamina to go anywhere you do! Eddy is completely recovered from his heartworm treatment and he's waiting for that forever home! He can be shy around new people but loves food and is very motivated to learn. Eddy would prefer a home with a backyard as he is very strong and has typical jack russel energy. Please put in an application at www.hopemariesfund.org if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-07-13-00097Ethel (bonded w/Fred) (female)|
Meet Fred and Ethel! She is a 3-5 yr old beagle/bassett hound that was found running loose with her beagle buddy Fred when she was already pregnant with her 10 babies. She came into the rescue and was separated from Fred to have her brood. He was pretty devastated. It was a week before we could get him to eat. Once the babies were weaned, they were reunited and couldn't be happier together. She is about 30-35 lbs, Fred is 3 yrs old, 25 lbs and all beagle. Ethel is outgoing and confident, Fred is more shy with everything but very sweet and loving. Great with other dogs. They have been spayed and neutered. Both have also been vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $200 for the pair. Won't you consider giving both of these babies a loving home? Please email for an application, email@example.com. (Less)

Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
