This precious little sweetheart was saved from being neglected and she lived in the wilderness to be bred and we are not sure but think at least 2 litters. This neglected Basset/Dachie/Ridgeback/lab etc houndette is one of the most sweetest dogs we ever have had in our Rescue Organization. She was found by a nice caring lady . Molly had puss coming out her ears, and never stopped itching ever. It was obvious she had litters of pups and being only 3 yrs. old it is amazing to us she is so sweet. Many vet visits, and the best medical care available, she now has to have daily allergy medicine to help her severe case of environmental ? allergies. Basset Rescue of Mt. will provide her medicines for many months if not years. Cost is approx. 20-30$ month. Her ear canals had been damaged beyond repair and need monitoring and medicine to help her ears. She has great hearing and is well behaved, housetrained, crate trained, and we know she is good with cats and horses, and has a playful side of her which is enduring. She was fostered by her savior and lived with an infant/toddler and was so tender and careful. It is amazing to us that she was drown away into the Montana wilds. Molly is a good little eater and enjoys life to the fullest. She sleeps great every night and WE KNOW SHE KNOWS SHE HAS BEEN SAVED. Applications are now being taken and we offer 2 formats on our website for you to fill out and snail mail back to us here in Frenchtown, MT. 14600 Springhill, Frenchtown, MT. 59834 We have a process we go through for adoption, but PLEASE KNOW IT IS NOT WRITTEN IN STONE. 406-207-0765 bassetrescueofmontana.org email is : firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you. Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in Montana if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
