|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-17-00276Benji (male)|
Benji was dumped/abandoned in Ardmore, and he ran right over to me when I called him - soaking wet with fleas. I had him fixed and vaccinated and totally cleaned up. He is a healthy boy with TONS of energy (and no ticks or fleas). You cannot imagine how much energy this puppy has. He is about 1 year old, and really needs another dog to play with to burn some energy. He LOVES dogs and kids more than I ever thought possible. Please, please contact me if you think you can provide Benji a loving home. He is house trained, and really tries hard to listen and obey... sometimes his energy just gets in the way! Please save him from a horrible shelter situation. Thank you. (Less)

Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
