|Rescue Me ID: 15-08-17-00477Molly (female)|
Good golly, Miss Molly! This darling pup is a five year old petite beagle/basset hound mix. She's every bit as sweet as she looks (and maybe even more). Molly was surrendered to Dog Town by a family experiencing some medical issues as well as long work hours where she just was not able to get the attention she deserves. She is used to a home and sure does miss it, but we're sincerely enjoying her company while we look for her new forever! Molly is doing great at Dog Town with all her four legged foster friends. She is also a total lovebug with everyone she meets - adults and children alike. Her previous owners report she is great in the car and even lived in a home with cats. Basically, this girl is the full package. Molly is up to date on her shots and spayed. She's totally ready to find her forever! (Less)

Remember me? I'm Gracie and for some reason all of the other dogs are getting all of the attention. No wonder I don't like their company! I am a three year old basset hound mix and I have been at Blue Chip for some time now. I'm getting used to other dogs but would prefer a human I don't have to share. Would you please come and visit me? Take me for a walk, rub my belly, talk baby talk to me, fall in love and take me home!

|Rescue Me ID: 15-04-06-00617Colt (male)|
My name is Colt, but I'm called Brownie. I'm about a year old. People make all kinds of guesses as to what I'm mixed with... I've heard Staffordshire Terrier, Pittie, Basset Hound, Boxer... you name it! We're not sure what's in my DNA, but I am a sweet boy with a long body and shorter legs with big feet. I love to play with the dogs in my foster home and my foster parents too. I love to go for walks, chew bones, play fetch and snuggle on the couch. I am quiet in my crate and sleep in there all night. I am crate trained and house trained. My foster mom is even working on letting me out of my crate when they aren't home and I've done great for up to 4 hours so far! I am a bit shy and timid with people at first but I have come a long way after arriving in PA 8 months ago. I have come a long way with trusting people. I love other dogs and gain confidence and learn how to play from watching them. I prance and hop while I play. I don't mind sharing a home with cats either! Come meet me at upcoming meet and greets! |Rescue Me ID: 15-04-06-00073Peggy (female)|
Peggy is a 2 year old Beagle/Bassett mix who has had a rough start to her short life. This sweet little girl who loves unconditionally had not known compassion until she was rescued. Peggy is ready to leave her past behind and work on a brighter future. She is a playful and active little girl who enjoys a romp in the yard and chasing toys. Her foster is teaching her how to live with other dogs without feeling threatened. Peggy is housebroken, and crate trained. She is making great strides with time, love, and patience. Peggy is spayed, current with vaccinations, and fostered in Mount Wolf, PA. We recommend continued positive reinforcement training post adoption to keep Peggy moving on the right track. We are PA Caring for K-9's is an all breed dog rescue. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Basset Hound in Pennsylvania|
Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
