|Rescue Me ID: 14-04-14-00420Frankie (male)|
Frankie is a little older then a year. He is super playful and is obsessed with playing ball and being outside. He is a very smart and curious puppy who needs a family who will have lots of time to devout to him. This little pup is the biggest lovebug, often times thinking he is a lap dog. Frankie has an amazing and hilarious personality. His only issue is there has been aggression with other dogs when rawhide bones are involved. However, there has never been aggression towards people or even while eating around other dogs. He is a still a playful, mischievous puppy who could benefit from a basic training class. With a little training and most importantly a family who has time for him, he would make the most amazing addition! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-03-12-00210Kendall (male)|
This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. URGENT, RESCUE ONLY ~ Waynesboro, PA ~ Kendall ~ 5 year old male basset/beagle mix, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations. Bite quarantine is up Sunday, March 16, 2014. Need immediate rescue commitment! Kendall came to Antietam Humane Society as a stray 2/4/14. This fearful dog is not adjusting well to shelter life. He guards his kennel & is uncomfortable with attention from those who approach. Kendall does much better with people once he's outside of his kennel. He's often calm & sweet around staff & volunteers, however, his temperament is unpredictable. He has fear-aggression issues, but he also craves affection and attention once he feels comfortable with someone. Kendall recently did well during a meet-and-greet with a prospective adopter. He needs placement with someone who can help him with his fears and anxieties. There should be no young children in his foster home. Kendall's fears & aggressive tendencies are calmed when he is with other dogs, although care must be taken at feeding time as he's exhibited some food aggression. Kendall is currently quarantined due to a bite incident on 3/6/14. A shelter volunteer entered his kennel, planning to take him for a walk. He was frightened and bit the volunteer on the arm. No medical attention was sought by the volunteer. PLEASE, If anyone can help, contact Andrea Haugh at Antietam Humane Society. Phone: 717-762-9091 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Shelter hours: Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri, Sat 10A - 4:30P (Less)

Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
