Meet Sassy! Sassy is an adorable little 35 pound Bassett mix. She is approximatetly two years old. Sassy came to us as a pregnant momma. A few days later she gave birth to her litter of pups and has been busy taking care of them for the last several weeks. Her pups are ready to go to their forever home now and so is Sassy!! Sassy loves playing with her babies, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, chewing on her favorite toys, and giving lots of kisses. Sassy is good with kids, is house trained and crate trained. She would make a wonderful addition to any family! Sassy's adoption fee is $175. This includes: Rabies and DHPP vaccines, spay, flea and heartworm preventive (through date of adoption), and microchip. If you are interested in learning more about Sassy, please send us an email at email@example.com (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-05-00010Frisco (male)|
This sweet puppy is my Frisco. He is inseparable from his big brother, Jasper. He has a sweet and friendly disposition, and loves me very much. I rescued both Jasper and Frisco from the Anderson County Animal shelter in 2007. They were approx. 6 months old, and had been apparently abused by a male, because to this day they are still very fearful of all grown males, but are comfortable around adult females. Please read the following description to learn more about their story, and why I, heartbreakingly, need to find them a suitable, safe, and happy home. Heartbreaking situation. I am forced to change my living situation, and have to find safe and loving homes for my two precious dogs. I have tried to come up with a way to move them with me, but it is just not possible. I rescued them together from the shelter 10 years ago. They were a bonded pair then, and are inseparable now. I am determined to find them a living situation that will allow them to be together, and to live life the way that makes them happy: they are outside dogs (they never liked being indoors) and have NEVER been chained. They have a large fenced yard they have free reign over. They have a creek to play in, and a small patch of woods that they adore. They are vaccinated, neutered, and healthy, even though they are 10 years old. They have grown up around children, but are very wary of men. They do not do well around cats or other small animals. It would be ideal for them to have a farm or large rural property where they can spend their time outdoors and run freely. They require a soft touch, love females, but may be aggressive to other animals. I love these guys, and do not take lightly my responsibility in providing them a safe and happy home. If you are interested in taking them into your family, send me a message to set up a time to come meet them. l need to see whether you would be a good fit for them. Basset Hound Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Basset Hound is an exceptionally gentle, friendly dog that makes a great family pet. Basset Hounds are great with children. They require some patience to housebreak. Basset Hounds can do tricks, especially for treats. If overfed, a Basset Hound can quickly put on weight which strains its legs. Basset Hounds need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, but should be discouraged from jumping so as not to stress their legs. Basset Hounds can live in an apartment but need long walks and opportunities to run and play.
