Rescue Me ID: 15-02-14-00129Moses (male)

Basset Hound Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Vaccinations Current

Moses was given a biblical name because he is one of three hound pups brothers who were dumped at David's Chapel Baptist Church near Union City, TN. When volunteers arrived at the church, the pups were bedded down in a grassy area behind the church, all piled up on one another to stay warm. They came right to the volunteers and were so sweet on the ride into town. Moses will likely have a stand-out personality. We suspect that he will do well with command(ment)s and that you will not want to be parting with him once you meet. He received vaccinations, was treated for intestinal worms, and tested negative for heartworm. We recommend ... (Read More)retesting in 6 months (August 2015) just to be sure. He is estimated to be 8 months old and weighed 33 pounds. He will soon be neutered. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Moses if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover the cost of his vetting and neuter. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-14-00115Samuel (male)

Basset Hound Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Vaccinations Current

Samuel was given a biblical name because he is one of three hound pups brothers who were dumped at David's Chapel Baptist Church near Union City, TN. When volunteers arrived at the church, the pups were bedded down in a grassy area behind the church, all piled up on one another to stay warm. They came right to the volunteers and were so sweet on the ride into town. Samuel has many physical traits of a Basset Hound, the huge feet and knuckles, the ears and head shape and his calm, laid back personality. He was not impressed with being in the spotlight, but he did allow a few pictures. He received vaccinations, was treated for intestinal ... (Read More)worms, and tested negative for heartworm. We recommend retesting in 6 months (August 2015) just to be sure. He needed some stitches in one ear that had a bite wound. He is estimated to be 8 months old and weighed 38 pounds. He will soon be neutered. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Samuel if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. Rescue Me ID: 15-02-14-00110Job (male)

Basset Hound Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Vaccinations Current

Job was given a biblical name because he is one of three hound pups brothers who were dumped at David's Chapel Baptist Church near Union City, TN. When volunteers arrived at the church, the pups were bedded down in a grassy area behind the church, all piled up on one another to stay warm. They came right to the volunteers and were so sweet on the ride into town. Job sat on a lap in the front seat, laid his head on a shoulder and went to sleep. Job is a puppy and does not exhibit the same patience shown by his biblical namesake. He did not want to cooperate with anything the vet wanted to do, but he did get vetted after all. He received ...     Sable is an owner surrender by an elderly gentleman who had to part with Sable and two other adult dogs because he was going to a nursing home.
